The Beacon-gate lies along the road leading from Bej Mâgha into Umbar Baharbêl. Caebar can be found on the plaza inside the gate, near the stable-master. [18.4S, 100.9W] There are five required quests that need to be completed in order to advance this quest. They are the following: [148] The City: The Eyes of Nauriel -- starts with Nauriel in the Lower Ward, near the entrance to the Fleet-fast. [21.6S, 97.9W] [148] The City: Sirgon's Wound -- starts with Sirgon at the entrance to the Upper Ward. [18.3S, 99.4W] [148] [148] The City: Sigileth's Curiosity -- starts with Sigileth in the Lower Ward, near the Black Anchor Tavern. [20.4S, 97.4W] [148] The City: Elves, Dwarves, and Trouble -- starts with Gimli at the Northern Ship-yard, in the Sail-haven. [19.0S, 100.1W] [148] The City: The Short Straw -- starts with Daxamat in the south-western corner of the Fleet-fast, near the Fleet-fast Gaol. [23.7S, 99.9W] Depending on how many crew mates you recruited during the quest Chapter 5.1: The Crew of the Wave-hunter, up to five additional, optional quests can be completed while Chapter 6.5 is active. [20.5S, 96.4W] [148] The City: Galengam's First Customer -- starts with Galengam at the Rovers' Yard, in the Sail-haven. [20.3S, 97.8W] [148] The City: An Ideal Nesting Place -- starts with the bird Gwallang at the observatory of Bor Sêma, outside of the city, past the amphitheatre of Dâr Rapha. [16.7S, 95.2W] [148] The City: Gangur Farwend Finds Answers -- starts with Gangur Farwend at the entrance to the Shoreward Stone, following a large ramp up to the closed gate of the dwarven holdfast. [22.6S, 96.4W] [148] The City: The Strategist and the Swan-knight -- starts with Bruidis in the south-eastern corner of the Fleet-fast. [23.8S, 97.3W], Additionally, there is one more optional quest that can be completed. Which one it is depends on your choice concerning Halros. Bestowal Dialogue 'I am no strategist, <name>, but even I know we are likely to attract unwelcome attention if we approach the city as a group. What do you think?' You advise your crew to split up and enter the City of the Corsairs by separate gates. 'That is a good idea! We will all meet up after we have learned what we can inside the city. Until then, farewell! And be careful!' Background Your mission nears its end. Thorongil and Corudan are sure to be held somewhere within Umbar Baharbêl, just down the coast road. Objective 1 Wait for your crew to disperse The crew separates and prepares to enter the city by different paths. Everyone takes their leave and goes to enter the city separately Objective 2 Enter Umbar Baharbêl by the Beacon Gate, which leads to the Sail-haven You will enter the city by the Beacon Gate, which provides entrance to the north-western area of the city. Caebar: 'So this is the City of the Corsairs. I am a long way from home.' You have arrived at Umbar Baharbêl, the City of the Corsairs Objective 3 Talk to Caebar by the Beacon Gate Caebar has entered Umbar Baharbêl by the Beacon Gate on the north-western side of the city. Caebar: 'So this is the City of the Corsairs. I am a long way from home, <name>.' Caebar frowns, and you know he is remembering the cold welcome he received from his family and the other folk of Ethring. 'I suppose my home is not what it used to be. I am here at the command of King Elessar, and to help my friends as I can. For those two purposes... I would travel anywhere. Objective 4 Complete 'The City: The Eyes of Nauriel' Complete 'The City: Sirgon's Wound' Complete 'The City: Sigileth's Curiosity' Complete 'The City: Elves, Dwarves, and Trouble' Complete 'The City: The Short Straw' Your crew has split up to search Umbar Baharbêl for information that will aid in the rescue of Thorongil and the completion of your mission. Caebar: 'The rest of the crew will be somewhere within the city now, searching for information that will aid us in the rescuing of Thorongil and your Elf-friend. You will need to search the several districts of the city if you are to find them, I think: the Fleet-fast, the Upper and Lower Wards, and the Sail-haven, at least! I will see you at one of the markets in the Sail-haven when you have learned what there is to be learned!' Objective 5 Talk to Caebar at a market in the Sail-haven Caebar said he would meet you at one of the markets in the Sail-haven when you have learned what your crew discovered. Caebar: 'I hope the rest of the crew learned something valuable, <name>, for I have had a hard time of it. I leaned out over one of the railings and studied the Citadel of Winds from afar, but that place seems to be a fortress, and impregnable. I cannot think of any way we will get inside, if that is where the Kindred of the Coins is holding the prisoners. 'I am sorry, I am feeling rather out of sorts. Someone bumped into me right before you arrived, and I almost fell. Folk should watch where they are going!'
